The GSAPP Alumni Organization supports educational, training and networking opportunities for GSAPP graduates, as well as supporting new students.

Lou Kruger’s (1982 School) film documentary, Children Left Behind, has been selected to be shown at the APA Convention in Toronto. The documentary was recently shown at the National Association of School Psychologists Annual Convention, where it received a standing ovation, and the Massachusetts State House for the state legislators and their aides. |

Bonnie Markham (1986 Clinical) has received the 'Block R Award' from the Rutgers University Alumni Association which recognizes service to the alumni body through volunteer involvement in charter organizations, work with university partners in support of Rutgers' community initiatives and through other specific volunteer roles. Bonnie is currently co-chair of the GSAPP capital campaign. |

Dorothy Cantor (1976 School) will be inducted into the Rutgers University Hall of Distinguished Alumni in May 2009. Dorothy was a member of the first graduating class of GSAPP. When Dorothy became President of the APA in 1996, not only was she the first PsyD to attain that honor, she was also the first woman clinician to serve as President of the APA. |

Fred Rotgers (1983 Clinical) , has been elected President of APA's Division 50 (Addictions) for 2009-2010. Fred has been extremely active in the field of addictions treatment and research since his graduation from GSAPP. He is the Director of the Clinical PhD program at Walden University..

The American Psychological Association (APA) 117th Annual Convention was held on August 6th -9th. GSAPP faculty, alumni and students attended and participated in the convention which was held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Alumni participants included Judith Glassgold, Dorothy Cantor, Lou Kruger, and Simon Rego.

The 12th Biennial Conference of the APA’s Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA) was held from June 18-21, 2009. Two GSAPP alumni served as Conference Co-Chairs: Dr. Milton Fuentes, (1998 Clinical) and Dr. Sandra Lewis (1984 Clinical). In addition, Dr. Cary Cherniss was on the Local Planning Committee, while Dr. Maurice Elias acted as Program Co-Chair.
