Driving Directions

From Route 18:

  * Rt. 18 will bring you to Mettlars Lane at River Road.
  * After crossing River Road at the light, continue first L onto Sutphen Road.
  * Road curves to right. Go R onto Frelinghuysen Road at the Stadium.
  * When you come to a circle, go around bearing L to continue on Frelinghuysen.
  * Pass brown bldg [Hill Center] and white bldg [Physics] on right.
  * Before the Psychology Building (see large funnel sculpture on your R) go R onto Allison Road. Go to the end.
  * R onto Bevier Road, pass construction, see Lot 54 between Titsworth and Taylor Roads. Park there if you have been mailed a pass.
  * Walk back to Allison Road, under the skybridge at the Center of Alcohol Studies.
  * After the bus stop on your right, look right for the Psychology Building. Enter at door by a sculpture with two spheres.
  * Walk straight down hall toward other doors. Clinic is on the left before those doors.

From the NJ Turnpike:

  *
  * Take Exit 9 Follow Route 18N through New Brunswick and over the Raritan River.
  * Follow directions from Route 18 above.

From Route 1:

  * Exit at New Brunswick (Rte. 18N)
  * Follow directions from Route 18 above.

From Route 287:

  * Take Exit 9 (River Road) toward Highland Park.
  * Follow River Road and signs toward Rutgers Stadium for a couple miles.
  * L onto Hoes Lane West. [You'll see signs there for the RU campus and UMDNJ]
  * Bear R onto Frelinghuysen Road at the first big intersection after the golf course clubhouse on right.
  * L onto Allison Road (immediately after the Psychology Building, by the big funnel sculpture), then follow directions above.

From Route 22:

  * Take the Washington Avenue exit (a jughandle that crosses Rte. 22.)
  * Continue on Washington through Dunellen, across Rt. 28, and under a railroad overpass.
  * R onto New Market Road. Continue for about a mile. After RR tracks, road curves to left. Continue to traffic light at Stelton Rd.
  * R onto Stelton Road.
  * R at the light onto New Brunswick Road, which becomes Hoes Lane.
  * Continue for about 3 miles through many traffic lights. At the last light before the road opens up and curves is Hoes Lane West.
  * R onto Hoes Lane West.
  * Continue past the medical school and the old fashioned Microbiology building on left.
  * When entering an intersection, make a sharp left onto Frelinghuysen Road. You will see golf course on right. Follow this past several buildings on the left. After the Cancer Lab, see Psychology building with big funnel sculpture in front. Pass this.
  * Take a left onto Allison Road immediately after the Psychology Building and follow directions above.


Parking Instructions

Community Clients:

To avoid ticketing, please arrive at least 20 minutes early for your first appointment and obtain a University parking permit from our Clinic Receptionist (unless one was mailed to you in advance). If you need a pass, pull into the lot by the funnel sculpture [lot 49], put on flashers, and come into the Clinic by following the ivy covered wall and up the steps.

Please park in Lot 54, located on Bevier Rd. between Titsworth Rd. and Taylor Rd. during the days. If you come after 4, you may park in lot 49 with the appropriate permit. See your therapist for that permit.

Faculty and Staff Clients:

Your faculty/staff parking badge allows you to park in Lot 55, adjacent to the Library of Science and Medicine.

Faculty and staff may also park in Lot 49, located behind the Psychology Building, after 4:00pm only.

Rutgers-student Clients:

If you have a parking sticker from the University, please park at the Rutgers Stadium and/or use the campus bus system. Please note that student cars parked in ANY lot during daytime hours may be ticketed.
