Eun Young Mun Ph.D., Michigan State University

Eun Young Mun is a developmental/quantitative psychologist, specializing in alcohol use and abuse, and other addictive behaviors throughout the lifespan. She has worked toward identifying risk and protective factors and explaining causal pathways for children and adolescents at risk for substance use. She has also worked on the development and application of quantitative longitudinal methodologies to recognize and discover salient patterns in data from the person-oriented and pattern-oriented perspectives. Dr. Mun received her master’s degree in developmental psychology from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2002.

Understanding developmental changes and their timing in substance use as a factor for heterogeneous developmental pathways; finding patterns and clusters utilizing a model-based approach; classifications and rater agreement
