Psy.D. Program in Clinical Psychology

Please be advised that interview invitations for the Clinical PsyD Program for 2012 have been extended. The incoming class for fall 2012 will be taken from those that have already been invited. If you have questions about your application, please feel free to contact this office AFTER April 15, and someone will be happy to discuss your application with you. Thank you for your interest in our program.

Welcome to this brief introduction to the clinical PsyD program at the Graduate School of Applied & Professional Psychology (GSAPP). We hope you will examine us carefully. We have a distinguished full-time faculty whose work is on the cutting edge of their areas of expertise. Their teaching is very accessible to students as it is typically conducted in small seminars. Faculty also serve as clinical supervisors. In addition, we have a number of eminent professional psychologists who teach and supervise students in a variety of clinical and community settings. Our PsyD program stresses "hands on" experience from the first semester, emphasizing clinical work. However, as research and theory are the bases upon which practice develops, we teach both to develop well-rounded professionals. Our orientation is toward practice in the community and especially the underserved. I hope your interest will be sparked by the description of our nationally known program.

Interviews for Sept. 2012 admission to the program will occur on February 27, 2012. If you are invited, please plan to join us for the whole day. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Brenna H. Bry, Ph.D.
Professor and Chair
Department of Clinical Psychology
Director of Clinical Training
