Current programmatic elements of the Sport Psychology Concentration at the
Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology ( GSAPP) are described
on the following pages. This description is intended to inform current professional
psychologists and graduate students who have interest in making sport psychology
a legitimate part of their professional work. This description should not be
construed, however, as a curriculum guide or as program operating manual. It
is important to note, full well here, that the term , Sport Psychology Concentration,
has been purposefully chosen . The term is intended to convey to all relevant
individuals and groups, including licensing boards and employers, that individuals
have undertaken and successfully completed concentrated study and supervised
professional experiences in sport psychology.
